Bernie Banton Day

Bernie Banton Day is an annual event to commemorate and honour Bernie Banton AM.

On the 20th of November 2017, the foundation held the Bernie Banton Day 2017 Greencap Corporate Breakfast at NSW Parliament House. The event marked the 10th anniversary of Bernie Banton AM's passing and saw the presentation of the annual Bernie Banton Foundation awards.

Greencap are proud to have sponsored the corporate breakfast and continue to recognise this annual event and support the foundation's efforts to raise asbestos awareness and support those who have been affected by it.

The Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation

Being a professional services provider employing a large number of scientists and engineers, Greencap values the importance of education.

Greencap's outlook aligns with the Australian Literacy & Numeracy Foundation (ALNF), believing that to able to read and write is the key to accessing education and employment, and to participating fully in society.

Since 2017, Greencap has been raising awareness of the ALNF and participating in fundraising initiatives including the 10,000 Step Challenge and Stepathlon. So far, over $5,500 has been raised for the ALNF Wall Of Hands Appeal.

About Wall of Hands

The Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation (ALNF) is dedicated to raising language, literacy and numeracy standards in Australia, and raises funds to develop, implement and sustain innovative projects for individuals, families and communities.

Raise your hand and give all Australian children the opportunity to write their own bright future. 100% of the funds raised through the Wall of Hands appeal go to delivering literacy programs in Indigenous communities across the nation.

Greencap acknowledges the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and recognises their continuing connection to land, waters and culture.  We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
