Asbestos Training - NZQA 29765 Remove Non-Friable Asbestos (Class B)

NZQA Unit Standard 29765

The Remove Non-Friable Asbestos course is designed for anyone currently working in the asbestos removal industry wanting to gain a formal New Zealand NZQA Asbestos qualification.

This course is a prerequisite for application for an Asbestos Removal Licence from WorkSafe NZ for non-friable (Class B) Asbestos removal.



The course content focuses on:

  • Prepare for non-friable asbestos removal
  • Prepare asbestos removal area and removal site
  • Isolate removal site
  • Carry out non-friable asbestos removal process
  • Carry out decontamination process
  • Clean up work site
  • Contribute to and use documentation in line with New Zealand regulatory requirements

This course is delivered by a Greencap Principal Consultant and Licensed Assessor with 30 years' friable asbestos experience, in association with NZQA accredited PTE - NZSafetyBlackwoods Worksafe Training.

Unit of Competency

NZQA Unit Standard 29765 will be issued to successful students upon completion of the course.



Formal examination and assessment process directly upon course completion. The assessment is moderated against NZQA unit standard 29765.


Delivery Method:

Training is delivered within a public training facility utilising theory and practical activities. Delivery will include instructor led presentations / scenarios, practical activities, and group exercises.

The White card (Australia) Site Safe (New Zealand), or other similar proprietary health and safety induction certification recognised in New Zealand.
