Continuing to partner to manage current pandemic risks

28 July 2021

Greencap’s experienced team of infection control and health & safety professionals, risk management specialists, microbiologists, and occupational hygienists are working hard to help clients manage risks and maintain business continuity within a rapidly changing regulatory landscape, including review of High Risk and Universal COVIDSafe Plans.

• Movement restrictions are in place in NSW
• Shop for essentials and exercise within 5km of your home
• No travel to other areas for work unless you're an authorised worker with a permit
• Masks must be worn at all times outside the home.

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced on 20 August that lockdown in NSW will be extending until “at least the end of September.” Anyone entering an LGA of concern for the purposes of work must carry a worker permit issued by Service NSW. A curfew will be introduced for people in Sydney's 12 local government areas (LGAs) of concern, which are already subjected to extra restrictions due to being virus hotspots. Permits are also required to travel out of Sydney to regional areas.

People in Bayside, Blacktown, Burwood, Campbelltown, Canterbury-Bankstown, Cumberland, Fairfield, Georges River, Liverpool, Parramatta, Penrith and Strathfield are under stay-at-home orders. A curfew has also been imposed, people within these LGAs must stay home between 9:00pm and 5:00am.  These restrictions will have widespread impacts on businesses across all industries and their abilities to operate.

People who live in or are temporarily staying in regional and rural NSW are also under stay-at-home orders. Please check your local suburb or LGA for further instructions specific to your regional or rural area

Construction rules for workers on-site have been updated. Workers must not enter or remain on a construction site in Sydney (including Greater Sydney) unless they have been vaccinated

It will also be mandatory for everyone to wear a mask while outside their home in NSW from midnight on Monday, 23 August, unless they are exercising.

For full details on how the NSW restrictions will affect businesses and workplaces, visit the NSW Government Website.
