New Cleaning & Disinfection Requirements for Construction Sites in Victoria

09 July 2020

In accordance with the requirements of the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and the Building & Construction Industry Guidelines, employers or operators of building and construction sites must implement appropriate controls for the protection of their workers from exposure to COVID-19.

This includes implementation of DHHS compliant cleaning and disinfection regimes of sites as part of standard COVIDSafe site protocols.

Where there has been a confirmed case of COVID-19 onsite, remedial cleaning and disinfection works must be verified to confirm the process adheres to DHHS requirements and has been fully executed, prior to recommencement of work in that area.

Greencap’s team of infection control professionals and occupational hygienists are able to provide rapid site response to review proposed cleaning methodologies, observe cleaning and disinfection processes onsite, and verify their compliance with DHHS requirements.
